On Brenda Henderson’s desk at Woodlake Hills Middle School, there is a plaque that mentions purpose. For 35 years, Henderson, or “Miss Bee” as her students call her, has been living out her purpose as a Theatre teacher, not once, but twice.

On April 30, 2024, the district celebrated our Distinguished Educators and Novice Teachers of the Year at a special dedication ceremony. The crowd was filled with family, friends, and staff from each campus across the district in support of each of our outstanding educators.

On Tuesday, April 30, Metzger Middle School celebrated its 20th anniversary, and they did it in a big way - with the world premiere of a piece written for the Metzger Band specifically for the occasion.
