This school year, a photo ID will be required when visiting any Judson ISD campus. This includes Meet the Teacher, Open House, and the first day of school. Please understand that if you cannot present a photo ID, you will not be allowed on campus. We appreciate your support in our mission to ensure campus safety.
Back To School Bash
Judson ISD will throw the inaugural JISD Block Party! Join us for the best block party in town on Friday, August 12th from 6:30 – 9 p.m. at Rutledge Stadium. There will be over 100 vendors coming together to help our students, families, and staff get excited and prepared for the 2022-2023 school year by receiving FREE resources and services from our schools, departments, and educational & business community partners. And you don't want to miss out on a special treat- guest speaker Stephen Mackey will share some motivational words at 7:30 pm.
Each campus will host an Open House and/or Meet The Teacher. You can access all of the schools and dates here: https://www.judsonisd.org/openhouse2022

As a public school system, Judson Independent School District welcomes all students who meet state age and health requirements. Judson ISD offers School of Choice, which will allow Judson families to choose any school within the district to attend regardless of where they reside in the district.
Click here to access the 2022-2023 Instructional Calendar! School starts on August 17, 2022. (Converse Elementary, the year-round campus, is already in session. The Judson Early College Academy starts on August 10, 2022.)
In an effort to support our Judson ISD families, we are providing all students enrolled in a JISD elementary campus with their school supplies... for FREE! The school supplies will be delivered directly to campuses and given to your child by their teacher on the first day of school. Secondary students will receive more information regarding supplies during the first week of school.
Judson ISD will not require students to have clear backpacks for the 2022-2023 school year.
In-person attendance and engagement are vital to a student’s success in school. State law requires children to attend school each day when instruction is provided. This year, Judson ISD will not be providing any models of virtual learning. Families are encouraged to work directly with their child’s school if they foresee issues with attendance.
Judson ISD Health Services would like to remind the community to get the required vaccines before school starts. State law requires proof of acceptable evidence of vaccination prior to entry, attendance, or transfer to a child-care facility or public or private elementary or secondary school in Texas. Click here to view all immunization requirements.
Health Safety Plan
Judson ISD has developed a Health Safety Plan to ensure that students are educated in a safe and healthy environment. You can view the plan by clicking here.

USDA Waivers are ending for the upcoming school year. That means the cost for lunch will return. Free/Reduced priced lunch applications are now more important than ever. Click here to apply for free/reduced lunch. If you're unable to apply for free/reduced lunch, you can see the lunch prices here, along with information on how to access your student's lunch account, what a student will recieve with their lunch, if they need a special diet, and some facts about our Child Nutrition Department.
Transportation requires ALL STUDENTS to be registered to ride a bus every school year. Registration will help identify who is riding a Judson ISD School Bus. It takes only a few minutes to register your child using Travel Tracker by TransACT!
Judson ISD partners with different organizations to provide items and services for students and families in need. The district's students or families can contact their school counselor or social worker if they need assistance. Our goal in Judson ISD is to provide assistance to all of our students to ensure they have all items needed to start the school year and throughout the school year. Services we provide are as follows:
- PIE vouchers are provided by our community partner, Greater Randolph Area Services Program. Students can receive up to $200.00 to purchase clothing and/or school supplies at Walmart.
- Communities in Schools provides backpacks and supplies for students participating in their program.
- San Antonio Threads provides clothing for students.
- The Salvation Army Shoe In program provides shoes for students.
- The Assistance League of San Antonio provides clothing to 25 students at each of our elementary campuses.
