Adult Education

The Judson ISD is pleased to announce our new collaboration with Restore Education. Through a mutual agreement, FREE GED and ESL classes for adult learners in the community and surrounding areas will be offered starting the 2023-2024 school year. Further details and a finalized class schedule will be shared here when it becomes available.

ESL Classes - TBD - Hartman ES, 7203 Woodlake Pkwy, San Antonio, 78244

HSE (GED) - TBD - Judson MS, 9695 Schaefer Rd., Converse, 78109 in the B Building at the FRONT of the school by the flag pole. You will need a valid ID to check in the front office located in the A Building to be badged in before entering the B Building.

What to expect:
In the preparation classes, students can expect to receive instruction from a qualified instructor in a safe and goal-oriented atmosphere. Students will be encouraged to DREAM, RESTORE, and BELIEVE! 

Instructors will:

  • Provide instruction for JISD parents and community member students in adult education and literacy classes to meet their individual goals.
  • Provide curriculum and class materials that lead to successful goal attainment towards post-secondary or work as well as positive contributions to the community
  • Support students in their career and post-secondary exploration with a career navigator.
  • Provide in-Class Practice Tests and access to free distance learning software.
  • Prepare students for success in taking the official High School Equivalency exam battery

Students will provide:

  • Dedication
  • Time in class
  • Transportation to and from classes
  • Basic School Supplies (Pen, Pencil, & Paper)

These FREE classes are provided to the community on a first-come, first-served basis as a courtesy, through a collaboration between the Judson ISD Adult & Community Education Department and Restore Education.
