Free & Reduced-Price Meals
Households may re-apply for benefits at any point during the school year if family circumstances change (job loss, addition of household members, etc). Please refer to the table below or call if you have any questions.
NOTE: Applications for Free & Reduced Meals Program are available through the campuses or at the Child Nutrition office. Each household will receive a paper application in the mail before school starts. All new students will receive a paper application at registration. You can also apply online at My School Apps or the APPLY button below.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
If your student attends one of the following Non-Community Eligibility Provision (Non-CEP) campuses, your family could greatly benefit by applying for Free and Reduced-Priced status.

Qualifying students in the 2023-24 school year will see a carryover benefit at the beginning of the 2024-25 school year for 30 days. Non-CEP families will also need to complete an application for NEXT school year to be considered for separate approval.
All Free and Reduced-Priced meal applications are confidential. A new application must be submitted each year, even if you qualified last year. Please complete only one application per household and list all students enrolled in the district.

Household size and income criteria listed below will be used to determine eligibility for free and reduced-price benefits. The National School Lunch and Breakfast Program is a federal program designed to assist families that financially qualify for free or reduced meals.

These guidelines are based on 130% (free) and 185% (reduced) of the federal poverty guidelines and are effective July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024
Children from households whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Foster children who are the legal responsibility of a welfare agency or court are also eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household where they reside.
To apply for free and reduced-price meals, households must fill out the paper application and return it to any Judson ISD school or Child Nutrition Office or you can complete an online application at My School Apps. Applications may be submitted at any time during the school year and are available at any Judson ISD school office. Information provided on the application may be verified by school officials at any time during the school year.
Information needed to complete the application includes household income, and a SNAP or TANF number when applicable. An adult household member must sign the application and that individual's last 4 digits of their Social Security number is required if no SNAP or TANF number is provided. If the adult who signs does not have a Social Security number, the household member must indicate that a Social Security number is not available by writing the word "None," "No Number," or some indication that the person does not have a Social Security number.
Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents/guardians are responsible for any meals charged prior to notification of application approval.
