These guidelines are based on 130% (free) and 185% (reduced) of the federal poverty guidelines and are effective July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024

Children from households whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Foster children who are the legal responsibility of a welfare agency or court are also eligible for benefits regardless of the income of the household where they reside.

To apply for free and reduced-price meals, households must fill out the paper application and return it to any Judson ISD school or Child Nutrition Office or you can complete an online application at My School Apps. Applications may be submitted at any time during the school year and are available at any Judson ISD school office. Information provided on the application may be verified by school officials at any time during the school year.

Information needed to complete the application includes household income, and a SNAP or TANF number when applicable. An adult household member must sign the application and that individual's last 4 digits of their Social Security number is required if no SNAP or TANF number is provided. If the adult who signs does not have a Social Security number, the household member must indicate that a Social Security number is not available by writing the word "None," "No Number," or some indication that the person does not have a Social Security number.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents/guardians are responsible for any meals charged prior to notification of application approval.
