Facilities Planning

The Judson ISD Facilities Planning Department is directly responsible for the ongoing implementation of all construction and renovation projects affecting our campuses and other facilities across our district.

We believe that our school facilities have a direct impact on the standard of education that our students receive and therefore, we seek to always provide the highest quality during all phases of a project, from planning and design to construction. Our goal is to deliver the finest schools to our students, staff and citizens, which makes them proud to be a part of the Judson Independent School District.

Facilities Planning comprises a professional construction project management, engineering and administrative team with diverse experiences and backgrounds that better reflect the make-up of our district, to manage all phases of school construction and renovation projects including: 

1. Pre-Design and Initial Planning
2. Schematic and Conceptual Design
3. Design Development
4. Preparation of Construction Documents
5. Bidding Phase and Awarding of Construction Contracts
6. Project Management
7. Substantial Completion and Occupancy
8. Warranty and Maintenance Phases

 As part of our goal to provide our community with campuses and facilities that meet their growing educational needs, we encourage input from parents, local businesses and the public as we continuously strive to ensure that Bond Funds are used effectively while still maintaining equity across our district. We do this by implementing open forums via our Growth & Planning Committee and the Facilities Planning Assessment Committee, as well as exercising due diligence in the management of all our projects and maintaining full disclosure to the JISD Board of Trustees, our Superintendent and all members of Senior Leadership.
