Military Family Highlights

Wyatt Paris, a 7th-grade student at Kirby Middle School, knows the challenges and adventures of military life firsthand. His father has served in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 18 years, first in vehicle maintenance and now as a paralegal. 

Military life has taken Wyatt to four different states and eight schools. Las Vegas stands out as his favorite place to live because of the long-lasting friendships he made there. Moving frequently can be difficult, especially leaving friends behind and being far from family. However, exploring new places has been an exciting part of the journey.

Adjusting to a new school isn’t always easy, but at Kirby Middle School, his science teacher, Mrs. Enderle, has made a big impact. Science is one of his favorite subjects, and starting the day in her class has helped him feel at home.

Wyatt believes in finding the good in new experiences and encourages others to embrace change. His advice to students welcoming new classmates is simple: be kind and give them a chance to be a friend.
