Safe Gun Storage

In 2021, there were 4,613 gun-related deaths. Eliminating access to guns is critical in reducing acts of violence, whether self-harm or towards others. Guns should be stored unloaded in a safe or locked container, with ammunition stored elsewhere.

As required by Texas Education Code 37.222, districts must provide the following information to the parent or guardian of each student enrolled in the district or school.
