Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

The Infrastructure department is the primary hub for all of JISD’s networking and communications needs.

Our mission statement is simple, it’s to “provide a secure, stable, and robust network infrastructure for the success of all of our staff and students”.

The primary responsibility of the Infrastructure team is to install, configure, maintain and monitor JISD’s Wide Area Network(WAN), Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) connectivity while ensuring compliance and security.

The Infrastructure Department currently provides network connectivity to devices  such as computers, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets and iPads, not including BYOD devices students bring. We also support 26,500 different active user accounts (students and staff) and over 427 campus radios throughout the district.
