KARATE FOR ALL

BY HILL COUNTRY KARATE

This fun course for children is designed

for self-defense purposes emphasizing

safety awareness. Self-discipline, rather

than aggressiveness, is promoted. A

certified black belt instructor teaches

various karate/self-defense techniques &

forms. Visit a class for a free trial session!

You may register on site. Juniors include

ages 5-12 and Adults include ages 13

and older. Uniforms are available for $35

(tax included). Nick Smith, Instructor. Ten

weeks of classes or equivalent time due

to holidays. $50 semester (plus additional

$5 registration fee and $5 insurance fee=

$60 total fee)

MY ART STARZ CAMP

Create a Masterpiece - Ages 6 & Up

Kids will have a blast learning to paint in

the style of the master artists of the past.

They will have a brief encounter with

each artist studied and see examples of

the work that made them famous. Young

artists will work in liquid watercolor,

acrylic on canvas or wood panel, chalk

pastels and more. You will want to frame

these little masterpieces! A $20.00 sup-

ply fee is due to instructor on the first

MYSTERY SUMMER PLAYHOUSE CAMP

For Ages 6-12

Are you inquisitive? Do you like myster-

ies? Then DKI Mystery Summer Camp is

for you!

This camp is a unique combination of

creative and entertaining theater activi-

ties such as silent scenes, improvisa-

tion, dialogue development, and theatre

games and building props revolving

around mysteries. Campers will explore

what makes a mystery a mystery!  They

will write their own mystery play and

perform it at the end of the week pre-

sentation for family and friends to see on

Introducing children to many forms of

provides a solid & healthy foundation

upon which to grow.  Children develop

self-confidence, social skills along with

learning proper technique & terminol-

ogy.  Opportunities to perform (children 3

yrs.+) are available, but not required.

KINDERDANCE®WITH ME PROGRAM

(ages 15 months–30 months)

This class offers age appropriate

exposure to developmental milestones

through dance and sensory-motor activi-

ties while nurturing the bond between

caregiver and child.  Caregivers partici-

pate and learn to facilitate the natural

exploration and progression of motor

development through play, laying the

groundwork for academic success as

the child grows.   (Min 6/Max 8 students)

This program builds a strong founda-

tion for developmental movement.  The

lessons include: Developing Gross Motor

Skills, Movement Creativity, Physical

ness.  Kindertots® incorporates the joy

of movement while learning numbers,

colors, shapes and songs.  (Min 6/Max 8

Is your child an aspiring Ballerina or

Danseur? This planned developmental

dance program is the perfect fit!  Kin-

derdance® teaches the basics of Ballet,

Tap, Motor Skills and Creative Dance

by encouraging poise and balance,

while blending educational concepts. 

Students can progress through 3 levels

Students experience a beginner- inter-

This class is designed for those students

who like to dance and move, but don’t

necessarily want classical technique.

This curriculum focuses on: Imagery &

Creative Dance, Motor Skills, Physi-

cal Development, Fitness, Nutrition &

Imagery. It prepares students’ minds

and bodies for athletic and academic

pursuits.  (Min 6/Max 12 students)

TEE IT UP WITH TGA

Premier Junior Golf - TGA Golf League

Parents must complete the TGA Partici-

pant Information and Waiver form which

can be downloaded from the Judson

website on the Adult and Community Edu-

cation webpage under downloads in the

left column. The information on that page

must be kept current and parents must

sign their child out at the end of class for

their safety. Be prepared to show your

identification until instructors know you.

This summer course will focus on taking

the lessons learned in our after school

golf program & will apply them to the golf

course.  The class will be comprised of a

one time a week practice for one month

with a friendly competitive round of golf

to be played at a local course.  TGA

Premier Junior golf will help teach your

kids the fundamentals of golf & will help

develop a healthy passion for the game. 

Transportation to & from the golf course

at the end of the session will be the

responsibility of the parent or guardian.

Meets for 4 weeks -- $99 plus a $25 sup-

ply fee (tournament course play fee)

A $200 nonrefundable fee per child

paid in person with the enrollment form

completed in the Adventure Club office

will hold your child’s slot & applied to

monthly fee of $475. The nonrefundable

fee must be paid in the Adventure Club

office and not online. Sites are limited to

only 50 slots per site. No Discounts or No

Drop-Ins. Deadline for summer registra-

tion is May 27th.

summer. Camp participants will enjoy

special guest visits, field trips, educa-

tional enrichment (reading, storytelling,

dancing, behavioral & etiquette skills, fun

experimenting with science projects, arts

& crafts) etc. Parents are responsible for

transportation to & from Adventure Club

sites.   Space is limited so please register

with payment early to hold your child’s

slot. Parents must bring enrollment forms

in person to the Adult & Community Ed./
