Bricks 4 Kidz (Ages 6-12)
We Learn, We Build,
We Play with LEGO® Bricks
This is a hands-on class where students
build machines, buildings, vehicles & other
structures out of LEGO® Bricks, using model
plans. Each class begins with a teacher led
discussion related to the model. Students
build a new model each week. While exploring
principles of engineering, architecture, physics
& more, students will develop problem solving
& critical skills. Once the project is completed,
children use the rest of their time to expand
their gadgets & collaborate with one another.
Instructional content is multi-disciplinary &
designed by educators to increase student’s
general knowledge & introduce STEM
(science, technology, engineering & math)
concepts to support the student’s academic
day. Students have fun while learning in this
class which meets right after school from 2:30-
3:30 p.m. Students can sign up for all 18 classes
at a discounted rate of $198 or 6 classes at $78.
Call 210-619-0426 to register or online at http://
judsonisd.revtrak.net. (Min 8/Max 20) Lessons
include:
Air, Land and Sea with Lego® Bricks
Step aboard to build some exciting ways to
get from here to there. Take to the sky in our
Bricks4Kids® Lego® bricks helicopter model,
race across the beach in an ingenious land
sail, or zoom through the water on a jet ski. Kids
will learn what makes each machine unique
and how it moves, exploring concepts such as
buoyancy, propulsion, lift and g-forces! What
other ways will you invent to travel through air,
land, and sea? Whether you’re a high-speed
thrill-seeker or just curious about how things
work, this unit offers something for everyone.
Amazing Animals with Lego® Bricks
It’s a zoo in here! This is a unit sure to delight
kids who love creatures. We’ll be building our
Bricks4Kids® Lego® bricks models of snakes,
insects, mammals and more. Each week we’ll
discuss fascinating facts about the animals we
build, from the chameleon that changes colors
to the seal model that waddles across the table.
Students will love these moving models that
celebrate the wonders of the animal kingdom.
Construction Craze with Lego® Bricks
Put on your hard hat and head on over to our
construction site! Would you be surprised to
learn that one of these objects has a history
stretching from the Stone Age to the Space
Age? Build your knowledge of construction
with our Bricks4Kids® Lego® bricks builds!
Dump trucks, jackhammers, drills, power
saws… build motorized Lego® brick models of
these and other powerful tools and create your
own LEGO® bricks construction site.
Exploring the Everglades with Lego® Bricks
Using our Bricks4Kids® Lego® bricks, build an
alligator with a mouth that opens and closes,
an airboat to speed across the water, a bird
with wings that flap up and down… and imag-
ine yourself on a journey through the Florida
Everglades. This unique and fragile ecosystem
is the only sub-tropical preserve in North
America, and we learn why it’s such a special
place. We’ll build and learn about some of the
cool creatures in one of our country’s largest
national parks.
