Meet the Music Teacher

Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Stuckey

Music has long been a passion of mine and I am looking forward to sharing an enjoyment of music with the students this year.

I am a graduate of Judson High School as well as a 2001 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music.  While at SFASU, I had the privilege of studying clarinet with Ms. Janis Brown and Dr. Raphael P. Sanders Jr.  During my studies at SFASU, I performed in many ensembles under the direction of Mr. Fred J. Allen and Mr. Brian Britt.  While attending SFASU I had many opportunities to excel in leadership positions.  I was a member in good standings of Kappa Kappa Psi (KKΨ) the National Honorary Band Fraternity as well as CO for the Pershing Rifle Company at SFASU which is a military-oriented fraternal organization.  Upon graduation from Stephen F. Austin State University I accepted the Music Specialist position at Woodlake Elementary, which was my elementary school as a child.

Through participation in high school and college bands and organizations I learned to hold myself and others to a high standard.  I will daily strive to be the best teacher for your child but expect your child meet me in the middle and work toward a common goal.  2019-2020 is an exciting year at Woodlake Elementary School and I am looking forward to a musical year.
