TEACHING EXPERIENCE

During my 25 year teaching career, I have taught Home Economics classes, middle school reading, 2nd grade, worked as an elementary reading specialist in Virginia, taught English as a second language in Okinawa, Japan to Okinawan preschoolers, was director and teacher at a preschool in Carson City, Nevada, and finally have been teaching at Wagner High School in the Family and Consumer Science/ Career and Technical Department for the past 15 years.

Currently, I teach Instructional Practices as part of the Education and Training program of study.   I serve as an adjunct faculty member at St. Philip’s College, teaching the dual credit class of Positive Child Guidance.

I am excited about this school year, glad we are back in person in the classroom,  and look forward to what the future holds.
