Ms. Rubio

Bienvenid@s/Welcome to Art! I am happy to work with your students this school year!

This is my eighth year as a public school Art Teacher and my 20th year working in the field of Art Education and Visual Arts. Before being an Art Teacher, I worked in museums, cultural arts centers, and as an artist assistant, in Chicago and San Antonio, TX.

During the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic, a few other Judson ISD teachers and I developed a culturally responsive 6th-12th grade Visual Arts curriculum. You can view: Transcending Perspectives, on the Resources Page.

The Resources Page also has links to Art Schools, University/College Art Programs, and Scholarships.

Visit the Student Gallery below to view my past students' artwork. Karen Wagner High School students have AMAZING talent. It's a gift to work with your child, guide their creative growth, and hold space for their voice.
