Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Rebecca Ayala, M.S.

Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year, Patriots!

My name is Ms. Rebecca Ayala and I will be teaching the AP Environmental Science, AP Biology, and Aquatic Science courses at VMHS. This is my eighth year teaching in Judson ISD and I am looking forward to meeting with all of you and making things run as smoothly as possible in the classroom.

I will be as quick as possible to continually post updates on this website, as well as contact information and tutoring schedules for your viewing. I do periodically send out emails asking for help with field trips, classroom items that are needed and information regarding what students are learning in my class.

Parents and Guardians: The easiest way to get ahold of me is via email. I will also take phone calls at the school, but emails I have access to on my mobile phone and will have with me 24/7. I will hopefully be able to respond right away or in a timely manner.

Also, this year, I will be implementing the use of Remind 101 in my classroom. This is a free application for cell phones where I can text reminders to anyone (student or parent) without giving away the privacy of my phone numbers and vice-versa. It gives a made up phone number for students and parents to text to "enroll" in my class as well as it only tells me student or parent names. I can send reminders from my phone to help students and parents remember assignments, tests, etc. Stay tuned for information on Remind 101! I should be passing out a slip for students and parents within the first week of school. Google Classroom will also be utilized for students ONLY for assignments and updates.

I hold my students to high standards and follow all rules that I ask students to follow in my class. I take time to build up respect with them, get to know them and assist in any way possible. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. I  tell my students on the first day of school that I can help with college applications, testing, FAFSAs, tutoring in other classes and any personal issues they need assistance with. Parents or guardians can always contact me with anything they need, too.

I look forward to working with all of my students this year and helping them be successful outside of just my science classes.
