Mr. Harry Stone

Born in El Paso, Texas, I graduated from Eastwood High School. I joined the US Army in 1987 and was stationed in Germany until 1990. I returned home and transitioned to the US Army Reserves for the next two years while attending the University of Texas at El Paso. I ultimately majored in British and American Literature with a minor in Education. Upon graduation, I wound up here in San Antonio. I began my teaching career at Edison High School in the SAISD where I taught English 1, English 2 PreAP, English 3, and coached swimming. I moved from Edison to O'Connor High School in the NISD in the 99-00 school year, where I taught English 1, English 2, English 4, and coached girls JV soccer. In 2010 I came to Judson ISD and helped to open the new building that is now Judson High School. I taught English 1, English 1 PreAP, English 2, English 4, English 4 AP, and became ELAR Department head for the largest high school in the area and 8th largest in the state. In 2016 the opportunity to open a new campus presented itself and I jumped at the adventure. So, here I am at Veterans Memorial High School, celebrating the sixth year we have been open. I have taught English 1, English 1 PreAP, English 2, English 3, English 3/4 OnRamps (Dual Enrollment), English 4, English 4 AP, Creative Writing, coached the swim team, and I was the yearbook advisor for the 2019 yearbook. This year I will be teaching English 1, and English 4 AP. I look forward to an interesting and wonderful school year.
