Mrs. Jo-Anne Olivarri

Welcome to Pre-K!

I am proud to be your little learner’s teacher as we jump into the 2020-2021 school year. I completed my undergraduate work in Interdisciplinary Studies at The University of the Incarnate Word in 2010, and attained a Masters of Education in School Leadership from Trinity University in 2016. This will be my 10th year as an educator at Spring Meadows Elementary, as well as my 10th year with Judson ISD.

Over the past 9 years I have had the privilege of serving the students, families, and community of Spring Meadows Elementary. I began my career as an educator in 2011 as a 1st Grade Teacher. That year I received the 2011-2012 Distinguished Educator Award for New Teacher of the Year. Since then I have been lucky to also gain experience teaching Kindergarten as well as 3rd Grade. Then, during the 2014-2015 school year I received the Distinguished Educator Award for Teacher of the Year. I then spent three years of my career as a Reading and Math Interventionist for K-5 students. Last year I moved back into the general education classroom and began my 9th year of teaching as a Pre-K teacher.

As we move into this school year, I am eager to meet and see all the new faces I will get to share the classroom with. I believe that ALL students can learn and my passion is to support, nurture, and challenge little learners. I look forward to building and maintaining positive, productive relationships with my students, their families, and the community. I strongly believe that these relationships is what will allow our students to achieve great success not only in school, but also outside of school, and beyond their elementary school years.
