Degrees and Certifications:

Kristi Ann Villanueva

Welcome to my class! I am excited to start this new year with you. We will work hard everyday but we will also have lots of adventures and build relationships that will last a lifetime!

I grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Jersey Village High School. I earned my Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Texas State University (Southwest Texas!) in 2001. I later returned to school and earned my Master in Counseling from University of Texas - San Antonio in 2006. I became a teacher in 2007. Currently, I am attending Lamar University to earn my Principal Certification. I should be finishing up this program by August 18, 2019.

I taught at Savannah Heights Intermediate School in Somerset ISD my first year teaching. At the end of that year, I took a job right here at Salinas Elementary and this has been my teaching home since then. I started out in 4th grade for 7 years and have taught 5th grade for the past 5 years.

I look forward to working with all my students and their families this year to learn new things and grow together!
