Mrs. Zitoria Kennedy
Hello! My name is Zitoria Kennedy. This will be my fourteenth year of teaching and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher! We will have so much fun learning this year! I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Texas on July 4th, 2016! I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I come from a family of educators. My husband Tommie is an Academic Counselor and we began our teaching careers together! We have three wonderful children; McKhenzie-12, Khamren-10 and Kheegan-4. Our oldest daughter attends JSTEM and both our sons attend Rolling Meadows (go wolves)!
I am a true believer that the foundation on which an individual's childhood educational experiences are based plays an important factor. I want to be that whisper in a child's ear telling them that I believe in them and they are capable of magnificent things.
Throughout the course of my teaching, I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities, who are ESL and those who performed on, below and above grade level. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and thought-provoking lesson plans, which accommodate various intelligences, bring a hands-on-approach to learning, and keep the students focused and interested. I have taught Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Third Grade and substitute teaching up to eighth grade over the course of my teaching career.
I look forward with great anticipation to creating a partnership and an everlasting bond with all of my families, old and new. I am excited to assist in the growth of knowledge in each and every one of my students!
I know for sure that this is going to be an AMAZING 2022-2023 school year!
