Mrs. Zitoria Kennedy

Hello! My name is Zitoria Kennedy. This is my thirteenth year teaching and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher! We will have so much fun learning this year! I was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Texas on July 4th, 2016!  I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education. I come from a family of educators. My husband Tommie is a teacher (soon to be counselor) as well and we began our teaching careers together! We have three wonderful children; McKhenzie-11, Khamren-9 and Kheegan-3. Our oldest child attends JSTEM, our middle attends here at Rolling Meadows (go wolves) and the baby will be attending pre K 3 next year!

I am a true believer that the foundation in which an individual's childhood educational experiences are based on plays an important factor. I want to be that whisper in a child's ear telling them that I believe in them and they are capable of magnificent things.

Throughout the course of my teaching I have had wonderful opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those with learning disabilities and those who performed on, below and above grade level. As a result, I have become proficient at designing creative and thought-provoking lesson plans, which accommodate several intelligences, bring a hands-on-approach to learning, and keep the students focused and interested. I have taught Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Third Grade and substitute taught up to eighth grade over the course of my teaching career.

I look forward with great anticipation in creating a partnership and an everlasting bond with all of my families old and new. I am excited to assist in the growth of knowledge in each and every one of my students!

I know for sure that this is going to be an AMAZING 2021-2022 school year!
