Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year.  My name is Dorothy Cardenas, and this is my 27th year in education.  I am currently working as a Certified Academic Language Therapist at Olympia Elementary in Universal City, Texas.  I completed my dyslexia training at the Scottish-Rite Center of San Antonio in 2013 and earned my license with the Texas Department of Health Services as a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist that same year.  Prior to that, I worked as a campus reading facilitator and taught grades one, two, and four.

I received my undergraduate degree at Texas Lutheran University in 1997 and my master's degree at Concordia University of Texas in 2011.
