Mrs. Williams

Hello, Families!

My name is Mrs. Williams, and I'm happy to be teaching fourth grade this year at Olympia Elementary.  This is my sixteenth year as a classroom teacher, with six of those years being in fourth grade.  I've had the pleasure of teaching several primary grades and was also a full-time substitute, which was a wonderful experience because I got to make friends with students of all ages from dozens of local schools.

Teaching is my second career.  Before I decided to become an educator, I graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in journalism.  I then worked as a news reporter and editor for more than a decade.  I got to meet and interview many different people -- business owners, community leaders, artists, and more.  However, I eventually realized that the classroom was where I really belonged, so I earned a master's degree in elementary education and found a job doing what I loved most: touching the lives of youngsters through teaching.  I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 4th grade, as well as ESL students.

My goal is to make students feel welcome and to do my best to keep open lines of communication with you so that as a team, we can work toward your child’s success.  Should you have any questions, please contact me via email or Dojo.  You may also call the school and leave a message for me.  I’ll respond to your concerns promptly.  I’m truly looking forward to experiencing amazing educational milestones with your child this school year!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Williams
