Ms. Roberta (Bobbi) Couch

Welcome to Fourth Grade!!  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year. We are going to have a great year filled with engaging, unique, and memorable learning experiences. I am here and always happy to help you and your child as they achieve their learning goals.

I earned my teaching degree in 1992 from The University of Arizona, and this will be my 27th year of teaching.   My first teaching position was in Tucson, Arizona where I taught eighth grade Science, 6th grade Math, and 6th grade Health.  The following year I taught 6th grade Language Arts and Social Studies, and earned a Master's Degree in Education in Educational Counseling.   In 1998, I married and with him being in the military we relocated to Anchorage, Alaska where I taught all subjects, 6th grade at Elmendorf AFB.  Our next station was in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2000 where I was a counselor, and Gifted ELAR teacher at Pearl Harbor Elementary.  Three years later, we were stationed at Beale AFB in California where I taught 4th grade, and 6th grade Math and Language Arts.  Next, station would be in Texas in 2008 where I began teaching at Metzger Middle School and taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Math.  I also taught 6th grade TAG/Gifted World Cultures and RTI Reading.  After my 9th year of teaching in Texas at Metzger the middle school, I was very excited to get the opportunity to go to Miller's Point Elementary.  Here I have taught 5th grade Reading for two years, and this will be my third year of teaching 4th grade Reading.

I am grateful to have the opportunity this year to work with you and your child and you will often see me at campus events such as Harvest Fest, Breakfast with Santa, Literacy Night, Spelling Bee and more.   I'm looking forward to an awesome and successful year.

Sincerely,

Ms. Couch
