Mr. Aragon

I currently teach Medical Detectives and Automation & Robotics and it is my pleasure to teach here at Henry Metzger Middle School.  Prior to teaching I served my country in the United States Navy for 24 years.  After completing my military career, I started my second career as a teacher.

I did receive a Master of Science, Instructional Technology Specialist from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. I received my Bachelor of Science in Adult Education and Training from Saint Joseph’s College, Standish, ME. I received my Certificate in E-learning Instructional Design from University of CA-Irvine.

The purpose of my Medical Detectives classes is to students solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs, measure and interpret vital signs, examine nervous system structure and function, investigate disease outbreaks and explore how a breakdown within the human body can lead to dysfunction. The curriculum is available in English and Spanish.

The purpose of Automation and Robotics (AR) allows students to trace the history, development, and influence of automation and robotics as they learn about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Students use the VEX Robotics® platform to design, build, and program real-world objects such as traffic lights, toll booths, and robotic arms.
