Hello Beautiful People! 

This will be my 16th year teaching and I am excited to be working closely with the 8th grade ELAR teachers, as I will be the Reading Special Education Teacher. I graduated from Judson High School in 1997 and then attended the University of the Incarnate Word ( Go Cardinals!). I earned both a Bachelor of Fine Arts and an Associate in Business. I obtained my teaching certificate through Region 20 in 2005 and have happily been an educator for both elementary and middle school campuses. In 2017, I successfully completed my requirements at the University of Phoenix (#WeRise) and acquired a Master's in Business Marketing. 

Growing up in a military family, I had the privilege of visiting other countries. I was born in Germany but spent most of my life in San Antonio, Texas (#gospurs) . I have 2 children, many animals, and love to travel. 

As a teacher I am passionate about education. I believe that not only a campus should be safe, but the environment in which all students are given the opportunity to learn on their own level. My Philosophy of Education also involves creating a classroom that is free of judgment and discrimination. One in which a relationship of mutual respect is key.
