Mrs. Judi Boehme

I am looking forward to starting my 27th year of teaching, and my 24th year of teaching in the Judson I.S.D. In 1995 I started my career in Floresville ISD, where I taught 5th grade; Science one year, and Reading my second year. I then was hired in the Judson ISD teaching 3rd grade for two years at Candlewood Elementary, and then transferred to Hopkins Elementary where I taught 5th grade Math for 9 years, and rapidly became quite passionate about teaching mathematics. Finally, in 2008, I was hired here at Kitty Hawk, and have LOVED teaching 8th grade Math for 13 years! This is my 5th year as Chair of the Math Department. COVID-19 has me FEELING like a 1st year teacher due to ALL the NEW technology we teachers are having to learn for Online Teaching; however, I am not a quitter, and I know I will get a handle on all the challenges.

I was born and raised in San Antonio, and am a VERY PROUD 1986 graduate of Tom Clark High School in the NISD. I then had to work and put myself through college, and in 1993 I received a Bachelor’s in Humanities from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2006, I received a Master of Science Degree with a Specialization in Teaching Middle School Mathematics from Walden University.

I have one child who graduated from Brandeis High School in the NISD, and is starting his 3rd year at Texas State in San Marcos this Fall.
