Mrs. Alexis McJilton

Hello! My name is Alexis McJilton and I will be teaching English 4, English 3 IB Language & Literature, and College Prep courses this year in room G225.

I have taught in the Judson ISD for 26 years, covering all levels. Prior to Judson, I taught at Copperas Cove ISD, and Northeast ISD. In 2008, I had the opportunity to become certified in the International Baccalaureate Language and Literature program, and have taught it in various forms since then. Last year was my fourth year as IB Coordinator for Judson High School.

I am a Texas native, hailing from Comanche, where I participated in band, 4-H, and my local church growing up. My bachelor's degree in Psychology comes from Howard Payne University, and two years later I earned my ELAR teaching credentials through Tarleton State University's innovative T-MATE program. I recently added a certification in English as a Second Language to my repertoire.

I have always felt loyal to Judson as my first real teaching home, and love the Rocket Pride I see displayed everywhere. I look forward to teaching your student this year!
