Mrs. Rhonda Cannon/Literary Genres

Welcome students, parents, and guardians of the Class of 2021.  I am honored to be your teacher again this year.

I have a deep love for Judson ISD.  I was a Kitty Hawk Flyer at one time and I graduated in the top 10% of my class at Judson High School (the old red campus) a long time ago. In 2008, I left my teaching position at Kennedy High School to come home (sort of) to Wagner High School where I taught junior and senior English classes.  In 2014, I came to JECA.

After graduation I attended Brigham Young University where I intended to take a degree in Biology in order to become a Pre-Med major, but changed my mind after six weeks in Chemistry and took a circuitous journey toward a degree in English.  I majored in English with minors in Anthropology and Humanities. Later, I held a full time job while I took a graduate degree at University of Texas-San Antonio.

Teaching high school English is my second career and I love it.
