Welcome to the 2022-2023 Academic School Year!

I look forward to this school year.  I am one of the Spanish teachers at Judson Early College Academy.

I graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education. I also attended the University of Incarnate Word to become certified to teach ESL.  I am proud to say this is my 8th year at JECA and my 20th year as a Spanish teacher.   I have experience teaching from Spanish 1 through 4 AP.  I started teaching at Somerset High School in the year 2000 and taught there for 8 years.  I then moved on to Anson Jones Middle School in NISD where I taught for 4 years.

I will be teaching Spanish 2 and 3 this year. Hold successful positive thoughts in your mind students as you explore the world of a “Foreign Language”. Keep in mind that language learning is a cumulative process where we continue what we did the day before.  You cannot learn a language by “THINKING” about it. You learn it by practicing.  Do not be afraid to make errors.  My responsibility as a facilitator of knowledge is to guide you through the study of Spanish.  Your responsibility is to come prepared, ready to learn, and with an attitude of confidence.
