Mrs. Monica Gonzalez

Mrs. Gonzalez comes to Hartman from the Rio Grande Valley where she attended and earned a degree in Fine Art and Psychology at the University of Texas Pan American. Mrs. Gonzalez began her career in education with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department teaching High School Art at a state school for juvenile sentenced felony offenders in Edinburg, Texas. Since moving to San Antonio in 2014, Mrs. Gonzalez has continued to help students as a Special Education Teacher.

Mrs. Gonzalez's greatest passions are helping students with special needs, Art and animals. Mrs. Gonzalez is the proud fur-mom of three dogs, Ahni an 8 year old boxer, Luna a 2 year old deaf boxer, and Marlie a 16 year old Japanese Chin/Pekingese mix. In her free time, you can find Mrs. Gonzalez playing or spending time with her fur-babies, painting or relaxing with a good movie.

Mrs. Gonzalez hopes to one day opening her own learning or rehabilitation center where she can bring all her passions together by helping students with special needs using Art and services animals therapeutically.
