Dear parents,

Due to circumstances and recent developments there have been adjustments and changes have been made to my schedule.

I would also like to remind parents and students to access my google classroom for class assignments at this time. It is very important that all students have access to the classroom to complete assignments.

Hola! I am one of 5th grade Dual language teachers at Hartman Elementary. This year I will be teaching English Language Arts and Math, which is my favorite subject. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with Emphasis in Bilingual Education from UTSA. I also obtained a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction, with an emphasis in Reading from UTSA.

This is my 11th year teaching. As a student teacher, I completed my course work here at Hartman Elementary with Ms. Guerrero as my mentor teacher. Hartman became my home for a year during my undergrad work. This school was not only my home during my last year of college, but it also was the home school for the community that I lived in at the time. That being said, my nephews and nieces walked these same hallways at one point of their life. My first 9 years of teaching were in a different district, but somehow I was bound to come back to where I started. This will be my second year here, and I look forward to making a positive impact on my students’ lives.

When I was in elementary, I fell in love with teaching. I had some really great teachers that made me want to grow to be just like them. My goal is to ensure that students feel loved and appreciated in my class. I want them to know that even on hard days, I am there to help and support. My former students would say that I am a coffee lover, kind hearted, very persistent, and determined teacher.
