Mrs. Nevelyn Young-Williams

Welcome to the most outstanding Social Studies and Science classroom you will ever encounter!!!  This year we will research, discover, create and investigate the many worlds of Social Studies and Science.

My name is Nevelyn Young-Williams, I have lived in Cibolo for 35 years. I’ve been living in Schertz for 5 years.  I am a SCUC ISD graduate, I attended Wiederstein from 3rd-5th grades, O'Henry/Corbett from 6th-8th, and Clemens from 9th-12th.  My two children both have or are attending these same schools. My son graduated in 2019 and my daughter will be a Freshman this up coming year.

I have been working with kids for over 20 years.  I attended Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin on an Academic and Athletic Scholarship.  I palyed volleyball and basketball all four years.  I also received my Bachelor of Science degree of education EC-4.  I moved back home and began teaching in these various levels: Pre-K and Kinder for 1 year, 2nd grade for one year, 3rd grade for four years, 4th grade for 3 years, and 5th grade for one year.  I've also have taught K-5th grade Science/Art. I have worked as a Reading and Math Interventionist for K-4 English and Dual Students for 8 years in the SCUCISD.

I have worked in the Judson district for 5 years, this year will be 6.

I have subbed in the JISD district for 2 years and was nominated Substitute of the Year at Paschall.

I was hired to work at Hartman in 2017-2018 as a 3rd grade teacher. Then, I looped with my students to 4th grade to teach Reading and SS.  In this school year 2018-2019, I was selected Judson ISD Spirit Teacher Award for Hartman Elementary. The school year of 2019-2020, I was moved back to 3rd grade to teach Science/SS, because of my passion for these subjects.

I have also been involved with these committees: Science/History Fair, Spelling Bee, Rodeo Art, D.A.R.E, CIS, Student Council, and Career Day.

Programs I've hosted at Hartman: Veterans Appreciation (1) and Black History (2)

If you have concerns or questions, I can be reached through DOJO or email
