Mrs. Meghan Farley

I am so excited for the 2020 - 2021 school year.  Here is a little bit about me:

I was born in Mississippi but raised in Texas. By the 6th grade, I was a student in the Judson ISD. As a matter of fact, I was the first graduating 6th grade class of Miller's Point Elementary. I attended Kitty Hawk Junior High and Judson High School. I graduated from Judson in 1994.  I went to college at Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State) and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree.   I also earned my Masters Degree specializing in Reading from SWT.   After receiving my degree, I became a 4th generation teacher. This year will be my 19th year at Ed Franz Elementary and my 20th year of teaching.  A fun fact is I attended Ed Franz Elementary as a 1st grader, and it is a privilege and a joy to teach at one of my former schools.

Even though teaching takes up a large portion of my life, I do have a life outside of the classroom.  I am married to my high school sweetheart, and this year we will celebrate our 21st anniversary.  We have a quirky, intelligent, hockey loving 6th grader named Drew.  We also have two dogs named Trixie and Merriweather and a brand new baby bulldog named Beaux.... oh and one tarantula named Tallulah Rose - who also happens to be our class pet.   In my spare time, when I am not freezing at a hockey game, I am an avid yogi.  I have been dedicated to the practice of yoga for nearly a year now.  I am also currently working on another Master's Degree - this time in leadership from LSU.  GEAUX TIGERS!!!
