Ms. Castañeda

Hello! I am Angel Castañeda and I am proud to be a Crestview Eagle! I am excited about the 2019-2020 school year and I look forward to the plentiful opportunities to teach, build, and grow with my 3rd grade students.

I graduated from high school in Wuerzburg, Germany and moved back to Texas to start college at Angelo State University. I then went on to finish school at Texas State University and graduated in December 2016 with Magna Cum Laude honors. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 6th grade and ESL students. I completed my student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom here at Crestview Elementary and went on to finish the year with my 2nd graders as a long term substitute upon graduation and obtaining my teaching certification. I was awarded Judson ISD Substitute of the Year for Crestview for that school year.

This school year will be my 2nd consecutive year at Crestview and my first year teaching 3rd grade. Last year I taught 2nd grade and prior to that (at a different school in JISD) I taught K-5th grade science as a science lab teacher.

I believe that building relationships with my students and their families is important to all around success for the students; relationships matter and make a world of difference. I have high expectations for all of my students and believe in respect and accountability in the classroom. I look forward to building strong relationships with you all as we work together this year to ensure the success of every student in my classroom.
