Bilingual Generalist EC-6 Certified Academic Language Therapist Licensed Dyslexia Therapist Qualified Instructor (In Training)

Mrs. Torres

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Coronado Village Elementary! My name is Maria Torres and I am starting my 11th year with Judson ISD as a Bilingual Dyslexia Therapist.

I graduated with a Bachelors in 2009 from Texas State University. Later, I returned to school to become a certified EC- 6 Bilingual Educator. I began my career with Judson ISD as a Bilingual Dyslexia Therapist in Training in 2013. I completed my training and received my Certified Academic Language Therapist certificate. I am also a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist. In 2017, I graduated with my Master of Education from Concordia University. Currently, I started training to become a Qualified Instructor (QI). I will be able to train future teachers who wish to become dyslexia therapists. I am excited for the opportunity and ready for future opportunities it may bring!

I love working with the students of Judson ISD and I look forward to be able to support them for many more years. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or concerns.
