Dear Copperfield Parents/Guardians,

Hello, my name is Mrs. Mia Alvarez. I am happy to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year!  I am your Reading/Math RTI teacher! I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how excited I am to work with your child in my classroom.  This will be my nineteenth year teaching.  This is my eight year here at Copperfield Elementary.  

I have a great passion for teaching and I work hard to engage students in learning through high energy and hands-on lessons.  I graduated from the Texas A&M University of Kingsville with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. 

Your child's teacher and I will be working close together to help your child succeed in the classroom.  I look forward to a wonderful school year. However, I will need your help and cooperation all year long so that your child will be successful.
