I am a graduate of Corsicana High School and a graduate of Texas A&M University - Commerce where I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS.)

I began teaching in Corsicana ISD at Fannin Elementary, where I taught 2nd grade for two years. During that time, I received the Rising Star of Education Award, which is a district award given to first year teachers.

I got married and moved to the Waco area where I continued my teaching career at La Vega ISD. I spent five years teaching 3rd grade at La Vega Elementary. I served as a grade level leader, as well as serving on various campus and district committees.

After five years, I accepted a position in the school district in which I lived, Robinson ISD. I taught 5th grade math for 4 years at Robinson Intermediate. In December of 2015, our family moved to Abilene due to a job transfer for my husband.

After 2 years, my husband then transferred to San Antonio, where I am now an RTI Teacher at Hopkins Elementary. I am now in my 4th year at Hopkins and couldn't imagine myself anywhere else!
