Welcome to Second grade!

I am excited about the 2022-2023 school year. 

Here is a little bit about me:I am originally from a small town in Kansas. I graduated from  Kansas State University (KSU) with a B.S. in elementary education.I moved to San Antonio  in 2007 to start a new chapter in my teaching career.  I taught for another school district until I came to Converse in 2013.This year will be my 9th year at Converse.   

Even though teaching takes up a large portion of my life,  I do have a life outside of the classroom.   I am married to a wonderful supportive husband.  This year will be our 16th year together.  We have a beautiful daughter who loves singing and performing in a choir.  She will be a high school freshman this year . We also have a smart silly German Shepard husky mix, named Lilly, who is always ready for a walk.

In my spare time, when I am not attending choir concerts or going for walks with Lilly, I relax by crocheting. I even create things for my class from time to time.
