Mr. Alcario Soliz

5th grade parents and students,

Good day, my name is Alcario Soliz and I would like to welcome you to another school year at Hartman Elementary.  I will be your 5th grade students' teacher for math and science for the bilingual/dual language students this school year.  This is my third year at Hartman and my second year teaching 5th grade at Hartman.  This will be my 15th year as a Bilingual/Dual language teacher. I have taught in Poteet, Texas, for two years , Houston , Texas for one year, and I also taught for two years at Palo Alto college here in San Antonio and in San Marcos for 6 years.  I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and attended Luther Burbank High school. I graduated with a bachelors degree from The University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls ,Iowa in 2002.  I have been married to my beautiful wife Letitia Soliz for 20 years and we have one son ,Anthony Soliz, who will be a senior this year at St. Anthonys Catholic High school.  My family and I have one dog named April, a ball python named Charlotte and a panther chameleon named Pepper, so it's easy to see that we enjoy pets and animals.  I enjoy the outdoors where i like to go camping, hiking, hunting, and love to fish, especially down in Port Aransas ,Texas and really anywhere on the gulf coast.  If you need to get a hold of me, you will be able to do that via my school e-mail and in class dojo once we set up the new accounts with our new students.  Also, when we get our class schedule and conference period, I will attach that to this webpage at that time.
