Welcome to second grade, hawks!

My name is Mrs. Mahy (pronounced like the month May). This is my 6th year of teaching and my 2nd year here at the amazing Hopkins Elementary. I have taught grades 2nd - 4th during my career, so I have the advantage of knowing where my students need to be as well as where they are headed. I hold high expectations for all of my students and prioritize relationships first. It's very important to me that my students know they are in a safe learning environment where it's okay to make mistakes, because that is proof that we are making growth. My goal is to help foster a love of learning in each and every one of my students in order to set them up for success in both their education and their future.
