Hello Bobcat Families!  My name is Katie Strezishar and this is my seventeenth year teaching in JISD. This is my third year teaching Art at Copperfield Elementary.  Previously, I was a first grade, second grade, and Gifted & Talented teacher. 

I want you to know your child's social and emotional well-being is my top priority. Children are in need of social and emotional outlets more now than ever! I believe art is a fantastic way to explore and learn and care for our social and emotional well-being.  My priority is to make sure all students feel welcome, safe, respected, and free to be creative in the art classroom.

As we embark upon the 2023-2024 school year, I know many challenges will arise. We will take on these challenges together and one day at a time. Let's have an amazing year of learning together.
