Mrs. Chante Cepeda

Mrs. Chante Cepeda teaches 5th grade RLA at Candlewood Elementary.  She started her journey obtaining her Associates Degree in ASL (American Sign Language) and continued her B. A degree in Creative Writing with a minor in African American Studies. While gaining her certification for teaching she and her husband decided to foster over 16 children with four of them being adopted.   

Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Cepeda knew she wanted to work with and help children. She set a personal goal to one day adopt but becoming a teacher wasn’t her passion until she went on a journey to discover that she could be anything she set her mind to.  Mrs. Cepeda loves to write and spend time with her family; which includes her two dogs and one cat.  She is in the process of getting her children’s books published as well starting a book series that will cater to different age groups.  

Mrs. Cepeda truly believes that everything you do in life will have a consequence or a reward and she sets out everyday reaching for that reward.
