I am Mr. Humberto Garcia.  I have been a Hartman Knight since 2020.

I am from Mexico. I graduated from Tecnologico de Monterrey as an Industrial Engineer, but I realized that my passion is teaching. That's why I did my master's degree in Education and I am a Bilingual Ed certified and decided to come to Texas to teach in 2005. My wife is a businesswoman and I have two teenagers. My classroom is a structured, safe, and encouraging place. I try to make the activities as relatable to my students’ current environment as possible.  Students will enjoy hands-on learning activities, be challenged to believe in themselves, and learn to work together with classmates.  We will take chances, make mistakes, learn, and grow together.  I believe in teamwork and communication.  Your child’s safety, success, and well-being are my top priorities, but I cannot achieve this without you.  You are your child's first teacher; I am here to extend what you have taught them at home. I love parents' volunteers!  I encourage all parents to please complete the "Volunteer Training" on the JISD website.  When parents and schools work together, students will thrive. We are a team, we are a family, we are Hartman Knights!
