Mr. Anthony Cristo

I grew up in Kirby, Texas and attended Kirby  Elementary (now Hopkins Elementary), Kirby Junior High (now middle school), and graduated advanced with honors from Judson High School in 1989. I have seen this area grow from cows and crops into the housing and shopping communities we have today. Prior to teaching, I directed the scoring for various state essays, including STAAR. I even wrote and compiled some of the training materials STAAR essay scorers used to prepare to score the essays. I know exactly what the state is looking for and am very capable of conveying this to students.

In the aughts, I worked on various films and TV shows such as "Friday Night Lights," "The Longest Yard," "Get Smart," "Community," "Hawthorne," and "Spy Kids 4."

In 2018 and 2020 I was the Libertarian candidate for U.S congress in which I engaged in real political debates.

I also proudly served in the Navy / Marine Corps as an 8404 Corpsman trained in tactical combat casualty care and care under fire.

I love teaching at Wagner High School for a few reasons. First, because I grew up less than a mile from here and understand what these kids are going through. Secondly, I graduated with Karen Wagner's nephew, Renee. This makes me especially proud to keep him informed about the school named after his aunt. I know the Wagner family and can say from firsthand experience that they are true and genuine exemplars of the best Judson ISD has churned out.
