Mr. Kevin Martilla
Hello. I'm Mr. Martilla. This is my second year teaching Physics at Wagner High School.
A little about myself:
I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. I served in the Air Force for 21 years as a health physicist. The Air Force sent me back to school where I earned my Master of Science in Environmental Health. After retiring from the Air Force, I worked as a consultant for a private firm, my own small business, and the Army (as a civil servant) before deciding to become a teacher.
Why did I choose to be a high school physics teacher?
I love physics. But, more than that, I want to teach at a high school where I could hopefully have a positive impact and pay forward the many blessings I have been fortunate to receive.
First, I attended Kitty Hawk Junior High School and graduated from Judson High School, so I am an alumni of the district. Most importantly, however, I appreciate the students here at Wagner. They work hard and appreciate the things that they have, which makes my job here super rewarding and meaningful.
I'll see you in class!
Until then, be kind and don't forget to be awesome.
