Julie McCullough

Hello! I’m Julie McCullough and I am so happy to be your teacher!

We are going to have a great year! This is my first year teaching in the great state of Texas! My family moved to San Antonio in March of 2020 after living in Ohio our whole life. I graduated from Findlay High School in 2005 and earned my bachelor’s degree in music education from Bluffton University in 2009.

I first worked for Continental Local Schools as the band and choir director for grades 6-12. While there, I led the pep band, marching band, and directed the high school musicals. In 2014, I started teaching at Liberty-Benton Local Schools as the general music teacher, grades 6-8. I also became the assistant choir director for grades 9-12 and co-directed the musicals. It was so hard to leave my LB family in March of 2020!

After sending both of my children to school at Wortham Oaks as well as substitute teaching in the school last year, I fell in love with the staff and students of this school. I became certified in EC-6 and feel so blessed to be a part of this incredible team! I have an incredible husband, Sam, and two amazing children, Charlotte and William. I love to read, watch movies, and adventure outdoors with my family! I look forward to getting to know y’all this year!
