Hello and welcome to 2nd Grade. I'm excited about being your child's teacher this school year. This will be my 3rd year here at Wortham Oaks Elementary and my 11th year in education. Previously, I taught 3 years at Park Village Elementary. I have also worked in NEISD and Harlandale ISD. I was born and raised here in San Antonio. I attended UTSA where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies Early Childhood-6th. Before teaching, I spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves. While in college and working on my degree, I spent 5 years working in after-school programs building the skills I now use today in my classroom. It was during this time of working with children I realized I wanted to pursue a career in education and become an elementary teacher.  

I've been married to my awesome wife, Veronica, for 11 years. We have 2 amazing boys, James and Joshua. Outside of education, my faith is a big part of my life and what keeps me balanced and striving to be my best daily. I also enjoy watching action or comedy movies, football games, cooking out, and enjoying screen free time with my family.
