Howdy LION Family! It’s a new year with new things, so welcome to the 2022-2023 K-2 BAC Unit! My name is Ms. Ashley Clayton, but most know me as Ms. O. I am truly excited about all the positive learning experiences and engaging activities that this year will bring, and I look forward to working together as a team while teaching and supporting your child/student.

I completed my undergraduate studies at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where I received a Bachelor of Sciences in Mathematics. Later, I went on to receive my Masters in Education with a Diagnostician certification from Wayland Baptist University. 

This is my second year at Escondido and as a BAC Teacher; however, my teaching career officially began in 2006 teaching Geometry at Sam Houston High School (San Antonio ISD). In 2010, I made the decision to change routes and became an elementary teacher, leading me to join Judson ISD. Since joining the Judson ISD family, I have been a 1^st, 2^nd, 4^th Math & Science, and Special Education (Resource, Inclusion, and Co-Teacher) Teacher. I am looking forward to all the great experiences we will have this year as we grow and learn together. It’s always a GREAT day to be a LION!
