CPT Adreaell T. Ray Sr.

CPT Ray was born and raised in Bennettsville, SC.  He enlisted in the United States Army on September 11, 1996, as a Field Artilleryman.  CPT Ray was later commissioned as a Transportation Officer through the Army Reserve Officer Training Course (ROTC) at University of South Carolina.  He received his Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Benedict College. His duty stations include Fort Sill OK, Camp Stanley South Korea, Fort Bragg NC, Fort Jackson SC, Fort Lee VA, Fort Benning GA, Fort Lee VA, Camp Carroll South Korea, Fort Sam Houston TX.  CPT Ray deployed to the Middle East in Support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Spartan Shield.  CPT Ray retired from Fort Sam Houston, Texas after serving 24 years in the Army.

After retiring in June 2021, CPT Ray started his teaching career as a LOTC Instructor in San Antonio Independent School District.  He completed the 2021-2022 school year and accepted a contract working at Metzger Middle School as a LOTC Instructor.  

CPT Ray enjoys spending time with his family.  Adreaell and Margaret Ray have been married 22 years and they have three sons, Horace, Devante, Adreaell Jr.; a daughter, Summer, and one grandson, Deion.
