Hello! Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. I am delighted to be your child’s 4th-grade reading, writing, and social studies teacher here at Candlewood Elementary. This is my sixth year teaching, my fifth teaching 4th grade, and my first at Candlewood Elementary. Go Eagles! I am originally from Hondo, Texas, where I graduated from high school. I then attended Schreiner University and earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Multidisciplinary Studies EC-6. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Tyler where I earned my Master of Education in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certification.

My passion and mission are to lead my students into believing that they are capable of doing whatever they set their minds to and will be able to one day change the world for the better if they don’t give up.
