About our classes:
Welcome to my classroom website! My name is Lyndsey Wiley, and I teach Yearbook exclusively (1, 2, and 3), as an upper level English elective. What an awesome job to be able to get graphically artistic with students all day, and create a piece of living history to show all of their growth! Our yearbook is called The Legacy (you can purchase your yearbook here), and we make up The Legacy Staff. As a staff of 64, we're able to cover lots of events, but we're limited to 164 physical pages in the yearbook, so much of our coverage ends up on Yearbook Plus, the digital extension of the yearbook, accessible via QR code, when you purchase the yearbook. It's so much more than just a book of photos!
Yearbook 1: 8:45-10 am
Yearbook 2/3: 10:05- 11:35 am
Conference: 11:35-1:40 pm
Yearbook 2/3: 1:45- 3:15 pm
Yearbook 1: 3:20- 4:35 pm
Should you ever need to contact me, feel free to email anytime lwiley@judsonisd.org, or call my classroom phone at 210-662-5000 ext. 17357 during my conference period.
About Me
I am originally from the San Marcos, Texas area. I graduated from Hays High School in Buda, Texas.. I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas (Wreck 'Em!) and I am in the last semester of my Master's degree in Public Administration from American Military University. I plan to pursue a doctorate in the fall of next year. I am alternatively certified (BS in Human Services and Management) in English and History. My classroom experience includes teaching English, Yearbook, Broadcast Journalism, Reading Intervention, and AVID. I have been teaching for 7 years in the public school setting, and the 5 years previous to teaching in public schools, I worked for the United States Air Force in Religious Education and Parish Coordination.
I am married to my husband, Carl, who is soon to retire from the Air Force, and we have 4 awesome children. My oldest two are in college, and my younger two attend Wagner High School and Metzger Middle School. We also have two moody cats, and the sweetest blonde German Shepherd.
