About Ms. Stowell 

I am a San Antonio native and graduated from James Madison High School. I attended Texas Tech University (Go Red Raiders!) and Lubbock Christian University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in 2002. I obtained my Post-Baccalaureate Teaching Certification from Texas Lutheran University in 2013. 

This is my first year at Veterans Memorial High School. Previously, I was at Woodlake Hills Middle School and Spring Meadows Elementary School; both in Judson ISD.  In my years, I have had the privilege of working with incredible students, families, and communities. 

In my role, I guide students toward understanding mathematical concepts and problem-solving. My desire is for our students to build confidence and be successful in all aspects of their lives. With this privilege, I will continue to do as Mrs. Frizzle - teach and ask questions, get messy, and make mistakes - because taking risks is the greatest way to learn and grow.  I will continue to be passionate and joyful about what I do, who I help, and drive positive change. I will continue to listen and collaborate with students, teachers, parents, and people in the community.  I enjoy connecting with my students and their families through their extra-curricular activities and can often be seen at sporting events, band/choir concerts, etc. These strong relationships are our greatest effort in providing an exceptional educational experience for all students.
